The Fall Garden Visit the Spring Garden/ The Summer Garden
Black eyed susan, echinacea, annual poppies, sunflowers, hosta and new england asters brigthen this segment of the fall garden. A new bed with a rock "pool" was added as part of a water redirection and collection design. The lush green of the ferns, hosta, chamaecyparis and lungwort along with the yellowy green of the spirea make this section of the fall garden a rest for the eyes. Blue perennial flax and lavendar hosta flowers add points of color.
This side of the fall garden features echinacea, potentilla, heliopsis, yellow leaved hosta and Coreopsis grandiflora. The predominantly yellow theme makes this a sunny spot in the cooling garden. Echinacea, chrysanthemum, heliopsis and yarrow.
Asters and Sunflowers
Looking through - this gate and fence will provide important winter interest when snow blankets the ground.
The fall vegetable and herb garden is an exciting place full of color and aromas. Annual poppies, lemon gem marigolds and cinnamon basil sparkle with color. Ruby red swiss chard add crimson spears with lush green leaves, basil flourishes, purple stemmed eggplant with gently curving fruits - and above it all, the drying "firework" heads of dill. Autumn joy sedum, annual cosmos, anise at the end of its flower and new england asters
