| How Can Kalmia Landscape Design work with You? |
Kalmia Landscape Design taylors our products and services to the specific needs of our customers. |
 |
Some customers are looking for a highly detailed, to-scale landscape design that they can follow closely in their installation process. These highly detailed, scaled drawings are well suited to individuals who are planning to hire a landscape company to complete installation, and for those who are uncomfortable with "wiggle room." All plans are accompanied by a plant list. |
A to-scale plan requires careful measuring of the clients property. Those measurements are then transfered to paper to create a detailed base map that accurately represents the dimensions of the property and the location of the important landscape features. Final plans created from these base maps can be measured and used to determine widths of beds, spacing of plants, lengths of paths etc.. |
To-scale drawings take time to complete, and can be rendered (colored) in such a way that they become a framable product. Black and white copies can be made available to use as working documents, while many clients prefer to preserve and frame their final rendered plans. |
 |
Clients may request that additional drawings accompany a rendered plan such as perspectives and birds eye views. These additional drawings help the client to visualize what the completed landscape will look like. |
Cllients may request a detailed, to-scale plan, but be uninterested in a final rendered product. It is recommended that any client interested in a to-scale plan purchase a final "inked" version of the plan (an inked version prevents smudging and loss of information that occurs when one works from a pencil drawing.) |
Some clients may not feel the need for a to-scale plan. They may wish to spend more time talking and walking the property with Kirsten, request Kirsten to mark locations for future plantings, mark plants to be removed, and provide a list of suggested plant material for specific areas of the landscape. A general not-to-scale drawing may also be included. |
 |
Clients may also request that Kirsten takes them on a plant buying trip, or is present during planting. Kalmia Landscape Design is most interested in providing you with the information and help that you need to create a beautiful, satisfying environment at your home. |
For 2007, Kalmia Landscape design is charging $40.00/hour for services. |
